As I have already said I am not a landscape photographer, but somehow in Iceland the light is so remarkable and the scenery so different you kind of can’t help it. I also had a chance to try out someone else’s amazing lens.
So here’s an image of a stand of trees with incredible Icelandic light and the snow.
Normally I prefer black and white, but with this one I’m seriously attracted to the colour. I was interested to play with this very wide angle lens, something rare for me.
I also took a few shots of a different stand of trees with a variety of effects, using slow and slower shutter speeds, and Intentional Camera Movement (ICM).
The images look fascinating to me, though some of them just look a bit like a spy’s output of an illegal audio recording!
What do you think, do you like the blurred, atmospheric version or the still, sharp focussed version?
