My mention of luxury silk scarves has prompted a few questions.

So here’s a little film displaying them for you. I admit that I have a favourite to wear, based on my preferred colours, but I don’t have a favourite when it comes to just admiring and feeling the scarves.

They come in three different types of silk.

Crepe de Chine which is the heaviest weight of silk, Habotai which is a medium weight silk, but which has an interesting slipperiness, and a slight shine compared to Crepe De Chine, and Silk Georgette, which is translucent and floaty and lightweight.

To understand this fully you’ll need to come and fondle them!

My stand at the Hickstead Longines showjumping event is no 63 and it is near the members entrance.

See here for more details on the event which runs from 24th to 29th July

I’m also offering a silk scarf as a Raffle prize at this event.

The raffle is in Aid of Mane Chance Sanctuary, a fantastically worthwhile horse rescue charity to support.

The charity was set up by Jenny Seagrove, who is very much involved in the daily running of the charity and whose favourite horse there is Grimbo the Shetland Pony. He’s a lovely skewbald, with a great character.

Now here’s the little film

I hope you enjoy it.
