In a recent blog I told you about the beautiful Marie and her horse Tass, who wanted to bite her. I also mentioned that she had a horse called Lady and promised to tell you more.
Well here we are back in the glorious Wiltshire countryside
.
When I met Lady the first surprise was that she was smaller than I expected, the second was her beautifully braided mane decorated with roses. I expected her to be absolutely gorgeous as Marie had told me this when we arranged the photoshoot.
I love this photography, I feel it should be in a magazine!
Lady is unquestionably the love of Marie’s life. Here’s the look of love
Lady was a dream to photograph, behaving like a model, she posed patiently and would have continued doing so all day if we hadn’t had to stop and give Tass a chance to be the star.
One of the pictures I love is the one taken against the light. It has a dream like fairytale feel to it with Lady’s head almost in Marie’s lap. It breaks all the normal rules of photography, but I really wished I had taken more like that.
You’ll see that I find corrugated iron a particularly attractive backdrop, and at North Farm Stud everything is well kept and smart.
Some of the corrugated iron is painted green and looks great behind the palomino horse.
I also love to take photographs of horses on a skyline. Wiltshire makes for gorgeous backgrounds anyway, but here’s the horizon shot
If you feel your horse deserves a photoshoot get in touch either by email or text or phone.
